Who We Are
At Ethos Food, we are a UK-based consultancy specialising in cross-cultural food systems, sustainable practices, and an intercultural approach to food. We work across industries and sectors, empowering businesses to navigate the complexities of food systems that are culturally sensitive, health-conscious, and environmentally responsible.
We also operate through an extended international network across South America, Spain, and England, enabling us to generate critical insights from both South–North and cross-cultural perspectives. This global reach strengthens our understanding of diverse food cultures, systems, and practices, allowing us to deliver more nuanced and context-aware research and strategies.
Florencia Alvarado
Founder & Director
Florencia Alvarado is Founder & Director, a social and cultural anthropologist with UK residency and Argentinian-Spanish heritage. She provides strategic guidance on food security, equity, and community wellbeing, drawing on experience across Latin America, Spain, and the UK. A PhD researcher with dual Master’s in Medical Anthropology and Global Health, she understands needs across sectors—including corporate priorities in the food industry—and delivers evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and sustainable solutions for clients.
Patricia Aguirre
Regional Director, LATAM
Argentine anthropologist, Professor at the Institute of Public Health, Universidad Nacional de Lanús, and coordinator of the PANES program (Food, Nutrition, Epidemiology, and Society). Expertise in anthropology, nutrition, and public health, leading initiatives across Latin America.
